The Carly DCY 419 S filter dryer is designed for filtering and drying refrigerants and neutralising acids for liquid lines in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It is suitable for use in various applications and offers a reliable solution for refrigeration technology.

Technical details

• The products are compatible with CHCs, CFCs, HFCs, CO2, as well as their oils and associated additives.
• They are designed for use with non-hazardous refrigerants of group 2 of PED 97/23/EC.
• For the use of CARLY components with group 1 fluids of the hydrocarbon type - propane R290, butane R600, isobutane R600a, propylene R1270 - with HFCs and transcritical CO2 and for an application of organic cycle of RANKINE, please contact the CARLY technical service.
• The classification of products according to their volume in EC categories is shown in the table of PED 97/23/EC.
• Hermetically sealed outer jacket made of painted steel, which ensures corrosion resistance.
• The filtering at the outlet prevents the spread of particles larger than 25 ? in the refrigerant circuit with very low load loss.
• No desorption, even at high temperature.
• Maximum operating pressure: 46 bar.
• Great capacity of moisture absorption and acid neutralisation at any temperature, thanks to a precise selection and mixture of desiccants in the filters (highly activated alumina for acid neutralisation and molecular sieves for moisture absorption); the volume of dehumidifying agents in loose grains used in a CARLY filter dryer is greater than that of an equivalent model in the form of a solid cartridge.
• The initial drying capacity is ensured by heating the solid to 200 °C and sealing it with sealing caps.
• Dehumidification ensured for subcritical CO2 applications at low temperatures.
• The dimensions of the filter driers are compatible with most products on the market.
• A distributor at the inlet ensures optimum distribution and permanent cleaning of the total refrigerant volume inside the filter drier.
• The steel copper connections to be used up to a diameter of 3/4'' - 18 mm inch included facilitate brazing and allow the use of low silver content brazing filler.
