Felder Cu-Rophos 5 brazing rod is a phosphorus-containing copper brazing alloy (CuP 281) designed for flux-free brazing of copper pipework. Due to its silver content, this brazing rod is particularly suitable for applications in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sectors, as well as for brazed joints in systems subject to vibration.
For copper-to-copper joints, the brazing alloy can be used without additional flux. For brazing on brass and red brass, a suitable brazing flux is also required. The brazing alloy is characterised by good flow properties and is suitable, amongst other things, for installations in the oil, gas and liquefied petroleum gas sectors, as well as for heating and drinking water systems.
The brazing alloy is suitable for brazing on gas and LPG systems with operating temperatures ranging from -50 °C to +150 °C. The lead-free brazing rods have a square cross-section with a side length of 2 mm and a length of 500 mm. They are supplied in a 1 kg carton.
