The Danfoss 117U5017 start capacitor is designed for selected Danfoss SC hermetically sealed compressors. During the start-up process, the capacitor provides the additional capacitance required for the start-up phase.
If the start-up capacitor is faulty or worn out, for example, the compressor may fail to start correctly. When replacing it, it is therefore essential that the capacitance, voltage and compressor designation match those of the intended start-up system.

According to the manufacturer, the Danfoss 117U5017 replaces the previous start capacitor, the 117U5019. Danfoss specifies identical technical data for both models. The 117U5017 has VDE and UL approval.
