The housing of the SR silencer is made of galvanised steel and filled with a sound-absorbing material from the inside. The protective layer on the sound-absorbing fabric prevents the inner fibres from being pulled out. The casing of the SRF sound attenuator consists of an outer and inner spiral duct made of aluminium alloy. The inside of the inner tube is filled with a sound-absorbing material. and provided with a protective layer that prevents the inner fibres from being pulled out. The sound absorber can be bent with a minimum radius of up to twice the diameter. There are several variants of sound absorber lengths for each standard size. The SR and SRF silencers are fitted with rubber-sealed connection flanges for a tight connection to ventilation ducts.
Installation
The sound attenuators can be installed in any position. A better sound-absorbing effect can be achieved by connecting the silencers in series. To prevent the flexible sound attenuator from sagging, it must be fixed not only at the edges but also in the centre.
