The testo 316-4 Set 1 is a versatile leak detector for all common refrigerants (CFCs, HFCs, F-gases), hydrogen (H₂) and formier gas. The scope of delivery includes the KM sensor head, a robust case, a mains adaptor and earphones – ensuring you are fully equipped for fast and reliable leak detection.

a fast and reliable leak detector for all common refrigerants as well as H₂ and forming gas. - Practical sensor technology:
The sensor is continuously monitored and displays any malfunctions or contamination on the screen – meaning a test leak is no longer necessary. If the sensor becomes dirty, it can be easily cleaned and put back into use straight away. Thanks to the flexible gooseneck, the sensor can be positioned close to the pipework or at the measurement point. - High sensitivity:
Very high sensitivity of < 3 g/a in accordance with EN 14624 enables the reliable detection of even the smallest leaks. The trail indicator function displays the maximum leak rate and makes it easier to locate the leak. - Reliable warning functions:
The display changes from green to red in the event of a leak. An audible signal also alerts the user to detected leaks. With the earphones supplied, the leak detector can also be used in noisy environments. - Option for ammonia (NH₃):
For refrigeration systems using ammonia, the testo 316-4 (Set 1) can be upgraded with the separately available ammonia (NH₃) sensor head. Alternatively, the testo 316-4 Set 2 is available specifically for NH₃.
