The testo 316-ex gas leak detector is an electronic multi-range gas detector with ATEX approval for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. It is used to quickly and reliably locate gas leaks on gas pipes and fittings and protects installers and building occupants in hazardous situations.
A highly explosive atmosphere (4-17 % gas content) may already be present, especially if residents report a clearly perceptible smell of gas. In such situations, the installer must use a gas leak detector with approved explosion protection to ensure that there is no ignition source from the measurement technology itself.With the testo 316-ex, you can detect the gases methane (CH4), propane (C3H8) and hydrogen (H2). The concentrations are recorded in the ppm range using a semiconductor sensor and shown on the display with a resolution of 1 ppm.
