The Copeland D3DC-100X-AWM reciprocating compressor is ideal for medium- and low-temperature applications, as well as for high-temperature applications such as process cooling and air conditioning. It offers high efficiency and reliability for a variety of refrigeration applications.
The semi-hermetic Copeland Discus™ reciprocating compressors are available in 2-, 3- and 8-cylinder configurations for medium- and low-temperature applications, as well as for high-temperature applications such as process cooling and air conditioning The special Discus valve plate design reduces re-expansion losses and flow losses in the suction area, thereby enabling up to approximately 10 % higher efficiency compared with conventional reed piston compressors The series covers a capacity range of approximately 5 to 60 HP and is designed for common refrigerants such as R407A/F/C, R448A/R449A, R404A, R134a, R450A and R513A Design features include, amongst others: a Discus valve (‘puck’ valve) integrated into the valve plate for high performance across the entire operating range a high-performance, positive-displacement oil pump for reliable oil pressure, lubrication and bearing cooling PTFE-coated bearings to reduce friction and provide protection during start-up electronic motor protection module Two motor sizes per displacement: smaller motors for refrigeration applications, larger motors for comfort, process cooling and inverter applicationsTechnical details
