The SECOP compressor 106H2401 (KLF4.0CND) is a hermetic refrigerant compressor for stationary and medical refrigeration applications. It is part of the proven KL series from Secop (formerly Danfoss) and is designed for operation with environmentally friendly R290 (propane). This model is currently in ongoing production.
General featuresThe compressor is designed for a mains voltage of 220–240 V at 50 Hz and operates single-phase. The permissible voltage range is between 198 and 254 V. Thanks to the CSIR motor configuration (Capacitor-Start Induction Run), the compressor offers a high starting torque (HST), which enables a reliable start even under demanding conditions.
Application areas
The KLF4.0CND is suitable for both LBP (low back pressure) and MBP (medium back pressure) applications. Typical areas of application are commercial refrigeration units, medical refrigeration systems and compact refrigeration units where high efficiency and small size are required.
Mechanical and cooling data
The compressor has a displacement of approx. 4.0 cm³. The technically permissible refrigerant charge is approximately 200 g. The free gas volume is approx. 1630 cm³. The lubricant used is polyolester oil, with a typical filling quantity of around 170 cm³. The weight of the compressor is approximately 8.95 kg.
Cooling and power range
The compressor is cooled via system ventilation with a recommended air flow of around 3 m/s. Depending on the evaporation and condensation conditions, the power range covers a cooling power range from approx. 100 W to several hundred watts (ASHRAE).
Operating conditions
The compressor is suitable for ambient temperatures of around 10 °C to 43 °C, provided that sufficient system cooling is available. VDE and CCC certifications ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
Electrical equipment
The compressor is equipped with an external motor protection device and a starting relay. The winding resistances and maximum permissible winding temperatures are designed to ensure safe and long-lasting operation.
