The Secop / Danfoss FRK8.5G is a hermetic reciprocating compressor for commercial refrigeration applications in LBP, MBP and HBP operating ranges. It operates with the refrigerants R134a and R513A and, thanks to its CSIR motor, dual-frequency capability (50/60 Hz) and robust design, offers high reliability, even under harsh operating conditions.

Background to the FRK-G series

Secop FRK-G compressors are the successors to the legendary FR compressors (F Series), which were renowned for their high robustness and reliability, even under harsh conditions. The designation of the FRK compressors was modelled on the earlier F-series to facilitate comparability and interchangeability in the service and spare parts market.

The robust FRK series was developed specifically for small-scale commercial refrigeration and incorporates various technical innovations, including a noise-reducing casing, an improved suspension system, a robust internal pressure pipe, optimised valves, optimised motors and a new silencer system to reduce noise levels and enhance system reliability.

• Robustness under heavy-duty conditions: FRK-G compressors build on the proven quality of the FR series and are less susceptible to liquid refrigerant ingestion. They are ideally suited to light commercial applications as well as the service and spare parts market.
