The viscous, spreadable paste adheres to clean surfaces, fills small voids and, once the parts are joined, forms a chemically resistant, flexible and liquid-tight seal. The sealant is suitable for many applications in refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation technology, in plant engineering, and for technical pipe and bolted joints. Leak Lock remains permanently elastic, does not become brittle and can be used even under vibrations, temperature fluctuations and in pressure and vacuum applications. Alcohol-based cleaners may be used for pre-cleaning, but must be allowed to evaporate completely before application. For unwanted contamination, a suitable cleaning agent may be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Leak Lock should not be applied indiscriminately to every joint. It is not recommended for use on pre-charged quick-connect refrigeration lines in air-conditioning systems.
