UV-C LED Disinfection System is a simple retrofit system for all existing wall mounted air conditioners to treat and protect the air by constant UV disinfection at each air passage through the unit.

BLUESCIENCE uses the disinfecting properties of UV-C light to transform an air conditioner into a powerful air purifier. Warm and polluted air is drawn in through the top of the unit where it is cooled by the unit's cooling coil.
BLUESCIENCE immerses the air around the cooling coil in UV-C light and cleans it during the process. The
cool air is then distributed by the air conditioner 99.9% free of viruses, bacteria, fungi and odors.

For which air conditioning systems is BlueScience suitable?

BlueScience is suitable for air conditioning systems where there is not enough space for a UV-c lamp. With a coil surface area of 600 x 80mm, the BlueScience standard unit will produce a sufficient dose to meet ASHRAE Chapter 60.8 TC2.9 when the UV-c source is placed at a maximum distance of 2 inches (5cm) from the coil surface.

Is BlueScience suitable for continuous use?

BlueScience is suitable for continuous use, as a longer illumination time increases the long-term efficacy, which is necessary for targeted disinfection. Continuous use of UV-c LEDs extends the time during which microorganisms are exposed to UV-c.

Can it kill COVID-19?

Since BlueScience does not have sufficient resources, it would be inappropriate to provide specific data on mortality rates for COVID alone.19 In this context, it is important to note that BlueScience does not have sufficient resources.
However, it is documented that biological organisms whose DNA, RNA and proteins are exposed to UVc light absorb it. The absorption of UV-c by proteins then leads to a rupture of the cell wall and inactivation of the organism. With sufficient exposure, the DNA replication process is disrupted and the cell cannot replicate - so if the organism tries to replicate, it dies.
