The Aspen Mini Orange has been developed for installation in false ceilings, in plastic ducts or behind split wall units. If the condensate outlet is connected to the float switch and the pump is placed inside the wall unit, any condensate can be pumped up 8 metres by geodetic means.
Two different float housings are supplied with the Mini Orange. One can be connected to the condensate outlet of the air conditioning unit, the other can be installed directly in a condensate tray. In both cases, the float housing must be installed horizontally.

*The Aspen brand anti-lift valve is supplied with all Aspen mini pumps.
The valve is required if the pressure hose ends lower than the water level in the condensate tray of the air conditioning system.
If the water column in the downpipe breaks off, negative pressure is created in the discharge line and the discharge line, suction line and condensate tray are sucked dry. If the suction line runs empty, the siphon effect causes the condensate pump to start up dry. This is the problem, as mini condensate pumps can run dry to a very limited extent.
If the anti-lift valve is installed in the discharge line downstream of the pump, the discharge line is vented. This equalises the negative pressure and the suction line remains filled with water and the pumps will no longer run dry.
