The warm exhaust air is extracted from the room via the ceramic heat accumulator. The exhaust air heats and humidifies the heat accumulator. In doing so, it transfers up to 90% of the heat energy to the building. After some time the heat accumulator heats up and the ventilation system switches to supply air mode. CYCLUS II The fresh, cold outside air flows through the heat accumulator and removes the stored heat and humidity from the heat accumulator until the room temperature is reached. When the heat accumulator is cooled down, the ventilation system switches back to exhaust air operation. The cycle restarts Switching to supply and return air mode takes place every 70 seconds.
